Safeguarding

Safeguarding policy

Safeguarding children sits at the centre of everything we do. Every practitioner we place works within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and our recruitment process follows its safer-recruitment requirements.

Our safer-recruitment commitments

  • Enhanced DBS checks. Every candidate holds an enhanced DBS check before placement, and we re-verify status — including the Update Service where registered — before each new placement.
  • Two verified references, minimum. No candidate is placed until at least two professional references have been verified, always including their most recent employer.
  • Right-to-work checks. We verify every candidate's right to work in the UK against original documents at interview.
  • In-person interview. Every practitioner is interviewed by us — in person or by video — before joining the roster.
  • Ongoing suitability. We expect candidates and nurseries to tell us about anything that affects a practitioner's suitability to work with children. Concerns are acted on immediately, including removal from our roster and referral to the local authority designated officer (LADO) and, where required, the DBS.
